UKGC stands for the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, which is the regulatory body responsible for regulating and supervising all gambling activities in the United Kingdom.

The UKGC was established under the Gambling Act 2005 and is an independent non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

The main role of the UKGC is to ensure that gambling in the UK is conducted in a fair and open way, that children and vulnerable people are protected, and that crime associated with gambling is kept to a minimum.

The UKGC issues licenses to operators and can also take enforcement action against operators who do not comply with the rules and regulations set out in the Gambling Act 2005.
