WHAT IS UKGC
UKGC is an abbreviation for the United Kingdom Gambling Commission.
The UK Gambling Commission is an executive non-departmental public body of the Government of the United Kingdom responsible for regulating gambling and supervising gaming law within Great Britain.
The UKGC provide licences to business and individuals in Great Britain that operate arcades, gaming machines, betting, lotteries, bingo, remote gambling (online, telephone), casinos and gambling software.
The UKGC also set requirements for those licensees in their rulebook, the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice, and carry out assessments to make sure that licensees are following requirements.
The Gambling Commission was set up under the Gambling Act 2005 to regulate commercial gambling in Great Britain.
